Late Shri Bijayananda Singh

In fond memory of our Founder

The late Shri Bijayananda exemplified unparalleled sacrifice and passion for uplifting the marginalised in the mountain regions of Odisha ,with special focus on Tribals ( Adivasis), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC). His lifetime dedication to transform lives of the unprivileged and marginalised community through social activities was of the highest order.

The passing away of our beloved Founder led to a physical and symbolic vaccum, an irreplaceable feeling of loss of a guardian who served as a role model and created many a groundbreaking changes for betterment in the social sphere of Odisha. His absence will have a lasting impact on the organizations, as well as on the wider movement in the region.

Shri Bijayananda was a tireless and unassuming advocate for the charitable causes he believed in.

Be it in peace or disaster, livelihood or education, Shri Bijayananda led the way to break the shackles that bound the society’s downtrodden.

Our Mission

Solidarity for Developing Communities endeavors to build peace, communal harmony and spirituality among the men and women of Adivasi, Dalit and other communities through a process of development intervention and non-violent conflict transformation within a broad framework of sustainable community development approach.

Solidarity for Developing communities wants a peaceful and progressive society where there is solidarity amongst all human beings and there is ecological balance that ensures physical, mental and spiritual growth of every individual by sharing planet Earth equally and keep it sustained for eternity.

To create a safer world

We strongly believe that Peace and Development are closely interlinked and cannot exist without each other. We need lasting Peace for which one needs Sustainable Development with Justice. We know that if development fails conflict happens where poor and marginalized communities especially from Adivasis and Dalit communities suffer most. We also believe that Spirituality generates virtues to lessen sufferings which help bring Peace and Development.
